Picnic Cinema are the North's NO.1 outdoor cinema and they're bringing two fantastic shows to their open air cinema in Hamsterley Forest this July and we've got half price tickets!

If you have yet experience the fun of an outdoor movie night, this is great fun. With 2 films to choose from and either film only or film plus camping to choose from and the chance to dress up, this is a great evening out if you fancy something a little different.

The full Picnic Cinema experience includes dressing up, camping over, and letting your hair down with fun, games, music, dancing and many more surprises. Audiences come from across the world to see films and camp in extraordinary places. Picnic Cinema regularly receives national media coverage (Times, Guardian, Telegraph, BBC) and is listed in many national top 10 cinema events every year.

Picnic Cinema is so much more than just a film. They stage interventions, hold a quiz with the audience, have zombie cat walks for the audience to participate in, hold audience interview videos which they then show on the big screen, hand out party bags with sweets, ‘rules of kindness’ and badges, encourage audiences to dress up in theme (which a large amount of them do). All of this results in an incredible memorable night for the audience who often return the following year.

Campers should arrive from 5.30pm and pitch tents and those opting for film only, can arrive at 7pm - the film will start when the sun goes down. There's loads on site. Bring your own food and drink or head to the onsite bar, play games, watch the film, have a boogie and head home or try to find your tent at the end of the night - either way, it's great fun.

- Friday 19th July: Close Encounters of the Third Kind (PG): For dressing to impress, come as someone from a secret government organisation... or an alien.

- Saturday 20th July: Blade Runner (15). If you fancy dressing up, the theme is punk - think chokers, tailored suits, broad shoulders and luxurious faux-fur coats.

So what are you waiting for, get your friends together for a movie night with a difference - well behaved doggies are welcome too!
